The sweltering temperatures last week meant we needed to take the boys to the pool. Myerstown has a fun sliding board frog in their baby pool, which they love. They also enjoy the splash pad area that slopes into the big pool, complete with overhead sprinkling devices and a pouring bucket. Since it was Independence Day week, they also wanted to make a Happy Birthday cake for America, which they decorated with colored sugar as exploding fireworks.
Today was much more pleasant, so we went to the community park in Lititz, which they also enjoyed. It was our first time there. Samuel and Levi went on the swings, played in the sandbox, watched the ducks, had a picnic, and got to go inside a real red caboose. The park is lovely, and I’m sure we’ll be going again.
