Off to our church’s Trunk-or-Treat event. We had over 300 people last year and gave out dozens of Bibles. Looking for a great time this year, too!

One of the more interesting costumes we saw last night was a massive Tyrannosaurus Rex outfit. When the poor gal reached out to take her candy, though, I realized she wasn’t a real T-Rex. Her arms were way too long. She just giggled when I pointed it out. 🙂
Anyway, our place is turning into a real zoo right now, I’ve got a lion in the house! (And he’s the cutest lion I’ve ever seen!)
Mommy’s going as Dorothy, and Daddy’s going as the Scarecrow. I wonder if Mrs. Mosby (the cat) is going as Toto.
It’s Trick-or-Treat night in our town, and we’ve seen some great costumes already!
At least half my reading is now done on my Kindle or laptop, but I still love real books!
Have a yummy weekend!
The song is highly regarded by many. I just think it’s a bit odd…unless it’s a metaphor for trippin’ down LSD alley or some other thought experiment tangentially related to the world of kaleidoscopic sentience. In that case, I’d be slightly more impressed.
Speaking of which…
And when you’re forced to stare…
How could we not think of the (very) old song “Scarborough Fair” with the jars lined up this way? Here it is as popularized by Simon and Garfunkel in the mid-1960s…
And a hauntingly beautiful rendition of it in our day by Rachel Hardy…
The melody is far better than the message, so someone needs to write a happy ending to it! 🙂
Also…farewell, Robbie Coltrane…
And in keeping with the theme of the sign, there will be no follow-up memes or bonus posts today. 🙂
